A Full-Service Litigation Firm

In a legal dispute, there is no greater asset than preparation. At Anderson Trial Law, the name says it all. At every phase, we build our cases with a mindset for trial, involving and maintaining near-constant communication with our clients to best understand their issues, goals, and the factual and legal arguments necessary to turn client goals into reality.

Construction Law

Leveraging first-hand knowledge gleaned from years working as a tradesman, Richard has found his niche in Construction Law, which forms the majority of his practice. Hailed by the Tampa Managing Partner of Florida's preeminent construction law firm as "The Lien King," he is able to prosecute or defend any legal action arising from a construction payment dispute, and has advised clients at all stages from contract negotiation through appellate review.

Additionally, Richard has given presentations qualifying for continuing professional education credits related to AIA standard form agreements, and has represented numerous clients in the negotiation and revision of form agreements, in addition to drafting, reviewing, and redlining non-standard construction agreements.

Finally, Richard has a wealth of experience both prosecuting and defending claims related to construction defects, using his experience in the trades in combination with his legal acumen to develop the best and most streamlined strategies in furtherance of his client's goals.

Commercial Litigation

Richard has successfully prosecuted and defended all manner of business disputes, and has likewise been instrumental in the draft, review, and edit of large-scale commercial and other real estate transactions. In the commercial arena, he has successfully argued for and against the enforcement of non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements, and other restrictive covenants arising from Florida employment relationships; has successfully defended and prosecuted wage and hour, ERISA, and Title VII claims; and has represented all sides in a wide variety of breach of contract litigation.

In real estate, Richard has experience encompassing litigation arising from Johnson v. Davis (seller's disclosure) disputes, specific performance relating to enforcement of real estate transactions, and the defense of professional liability claims against real estate professionals.
